How to Make Money From Old Magazines, Newspapers and Books

What do you do when you have finished reading your newspaper or magazine? Probably throw it in the trash or in the recycling bin, and most of us do exactly the same.

Fortunately for some of us quite a few of our elderly relations were far more frugal, with many old magazines, newspapers of special interest and books finding their way, neatly bundled and tied, into their attics. Then after many years when they move house or move on, often these bundles of "rubbish" get left behind hidden in a dark corner well out of sight.

Eventually they do find the light of day and although many are just thrown away or even burnt I have been fortunate enough to find many at flea markets, garage sales, car boot sales as well as auction rooms.

If you are fortunate enough to obtain some of these publications you will find what to the majority of people is an uninteresting collection of printed news, pictures and advertisements. But to many in the know they will represent a goldmine of information and an exciting opportunity to make good money! Photographs, prints both black and white and occasionally in colour, advertisements often very elaborately drawn, news clippings, posters and cartoons. Virtually every part of these publications can be utilised in one way or another to make money, and there is a constant demand for these types of material no matter from which part of the world they originate. The reason for the great interest is because in these days of "instant news" from around the world on the television, the news 'now' is current, this mornings is old, and yesterdays is already forgotten. But when we now see news in the printed form from 100 or more years ago it gives a completely different outlook on a particular situation and can effectively paint amazing pictures in the mind whilst we retain the physical printed articles.

This can be a very low cost method of generating considerable sales in any subject that appears in old / vintage newspapers and magazines as well as books. As already mentioned there are literally dozens of different ways that these publications can be used from selling the original pictures or prints either mounted or framed to just collating information from the articles into books or CDs. There are endless possibilities, and to find out the many other ways in which you can make the most of this unusual and excitingly different opportunity just click on the link below for further details.
